recently, a client of mine was upset because her
soon-to-be mother-in-law was bitching about the
planned reception -- mom stating that no one
really comes to a reception for cake, and thus,
a cake can easily be stripped from the reception
cost.

let me level with you...
the cake, imo, is practically the ONLY reason
i attend receptions. in fact, in the last year
alone, i have hit people up on weddings merely
FOR the cake.... people i don't even really
know (but know through distant associations).

i know its a sad thing to admit... but its pretty
honest.

i guess i only said all of this because you
mentioned cake.... [img]tongue.gif[/img] and these things popped
into my mind.

when i first heard about your glorious ceremonies,
i secretly got very excited at the thought of
the cake.... and its almost embarrassing to
say such a thing.

i'd love to be hankerin on some demon wedding

i do already have a roadtrip weekend planned

And the weird thing is, they offer what we call cake

(We call what you call cake "taart" which sounds like tart)
on funeral receptions here. Heck, at my funeral they're getting beer. Or maybe my remaining bottles of good whiskey.

I actually cringe at the idea of such a 'standard' ending.
